Back

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will be hosting an Industry Day Event

April 4th and April 5th, 2023
9:00 am to 4:30 pm (Eastern Time, USA)

Hybrid Meeting

Free Event

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will be hosting an Industry Day Event on April 4th and April 5th, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (Eastern Time, USA) at ATF Headquarters, 99 New York Ave, NE, Washington DC 20226. ATF prefers that participation by Vendors for this Industry Day be on-site.  ATF will consider virtual attendance on a case-by-case basis for Vendors with a compelling reason not to attend in-person.

The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for Vendors to share the most recent products or service developments to include cutting-edge innovations that could provide support to ATF, specifically the ballistic imaging network known as National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) and the interagency Crime Gun Intelligence (CGI) collaboration.

To provide mission-focused outreach for the event, we are seeking companies that possess competencies in these areas.  Only vendors selling products and services applicable to the NIBIN ballistic imaging mission and CGI should apply.  Representatives shall be technically savvy and have a firm understanding of the direction of both Industry and ATF mission and policies. Please review the attached NIBIN and CGI Industry Day Flyer for more information about the NIBIN Program and CGI. A capability statement demonstrating a clear understanding of the ballistic imaging mission and/or CGI is required. ATF reserves the right to reject requests that do not show current and relevant competency.

Once the vendor has provided a capability statement and is determined to have the technical capability by ATF, the Industry Day will be on a first come, first-serve basis. Vendors are limited to one presentation.  It is anticipated that Vendors will be allowed thirty minutes to present information on their products, services or both. The presentation will be immediately followed by up to a fifteen-minute question and answer period. The Vendor will be provided a date and presentation time. A Non-Disclosure Agreement will be signed by all ATF personnel in attendance.

Registration is required through an email request to Contracting Officer Nick Engel at Nicholas.engel@atf.gov. Respondents shall submit their request as soon as possible, as registration will close once a pre-determined maximum number of vendors has been accepted. Registration will not be accepted after 12:00 pm (Eastern Time, USA) 17 February 2023. A submission is not considered received or complete without a capability statement demonstrating a clear understanding of the ballistic imaging mission and/or CGI.

This Industry Day is for market research purposes only in accordance with FAR Part 10. Participation is voluntary.

This Industry Day is not related to any specific contract action or solicitation and no contract award will result from participation.

All costs associated with attendance shall be at the Contractor’s expense and no reimbursement will be provided by the Government.
