Event Description

Learn how to do business with Fairfax County!

All local area vendors are invited to attend the Fairfax County Procurement Division’s Buyer/Seller Information Exchange sessions.

The purpose of these sessions is to provide information on the county’s procurement processes and upcoming contracts. Each presentation will conclude with the opportunity to address vendor questions and concerns and to meet the county’s procurement staff.


There is no charge to attend this event 


DPMM hosts a bi-monthly workshop for vendors called "Selling to Fairfax County."
The workshop targets prospective vendors who are interested in learning about the Fairfax County procurement process.
The workshop is roughly an hour and a half, with plenty of time for questions and networking at the end.
Topics include how the County's business opportunities are advertised (eVA), the mechanics of the County's procurement process from informal to formal solicitations (IFBs/RFPs), the County's supplier diversity program and resources such as our Contract Register (a search engine for current county contracts). Although specific to Fairfax County, the content is an excellent primer on the government procurement process in general.
Registration is not required but recommended as capacity is sometimes reached.
