Our Ready, Set, GROW! Open House
is being provided through a partnership between the Office of Small,
Minority & Women Business Affairs - a unit of the Department of
Social and Economic Mobility (OSBA/DoSEM) - and the Maryland Department
of Transportation (MDOT).
This
event will further connect you as a small, minority, women, and/or
veteran-owned firm with the procurement opportunities available through
MDOT and assist you with gaining additional information about state
government contracting. Each MDOT modal agency will deliver a brief
presentation, manage an exhibitor table, discuss their upcoming
procurement opportunities, and acquaint their procurement officers with
the firms attending. The end goal is to have you walk away with
information on MDOT's procurement opportunities available and who to
contact.
As
a small, minority, women, and/or veteran-owned firm, it is important
that you bring your capability statements so that you can be placed on
agency lists for future direct solicitations. This can increase the
opportunities for you to work on MDOT contracts.
The Department
of Social and Economic Mobility (DoSEM) will also provide an overview
of the basics of state government contracting. In addition, you will
have the opportunity to connect with various resource partners in the
region that can assist you in the development of your business so that
you can compete with greater confidence.
This is a list of the MDOT Modal Agencies that will be present:
- MDOT - The Secretary's Office (TSO)
- Maryland Transit Administration (MTA)
