ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Department of War (DoW), in support of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) mission, is seeking innovative, intrusive and non-intrusive diagnostic
and imaging solutions to measure and monitor extreme temperature systems.
OBJECTIVE:
To dramatically expand aerospace component testing throughput, AEDC requires the comprehensive integration of cutting-edge thermal metrology.
The Government is evaluating the feasibility, lifecycle costs, and conceptual integration layouts of these advanced sensor suites to make
highly informed, long-term acquisition and deployment decisions.
BACKGROUND:
We are soliciting capabilities from leading manufacturers of advanced optical sensors—specifically Infrared (IR), High-Speed, and Visible-light cameras, alongside Pyrometers, Hyperspectral imagers, and Spectrometers.
The primary objective is to deploy real-time analysis, thermal profiling, and debris tracking capabilities across both high- and low-temperature regimes.
REQUESTED CAPABILITIES:
The Government is soliciting capabilities and technical insights from leading manufacturers and system integrators of advanced optical sensors. Focus areas include:
Sensor Technology Mission Application Infrared (IR) & Pyrometers Continuous thermal profiling across extreme high- and low- temperature regimes
High-Speed & Visible Cameras Real-time analysis, flow visualization, and debris/particle tracking during active testing Hyperspectral & Spectrometers Non-intrusive gas-phase and material diagnostics under active aerothermal environments.
